How can we help you?

The scheme aims to provide a variety of help in rural communities, and is manned by a team of local volunteers (all members and volunteers are CRB checked).

Help can be provided for transport, small domestic jobs, collection of prescriptions, pensions, letter writing and befriending, and more. Help is available for all ages, if possible forty-eight hours notice would be appreciated. A small mileage fee will be charged to cover volunteers fuel costs.

If you require help or know of someone who does, please ring the helpline on 07799 873881. If you are worried about the cost of phoning a mobile phone we can ring you back immediately to discuss your requirements.

On Saturday 25 February 2006 we had a very successful lunch at the village hall for our volunteers, updating them on our progress. Thanks go to all members who supplied food.

The steering group are very pleased with progress having been able to assist a number of residents with a variety of requests during the year. Thanks to a donation from Dave Wood's Locality Budget we have purchased fridge magnets giving our telephone number and will be happy to supply these where needed. We soon be able to supply and fit ‘door viewers' sponsored by the ‘Suffolk Safe and Sound Crime Reduction Panel'.

Remember - NO JOB IS TOO SMALL!
