The parish council's allotments are for tenancy by residents of
the parish: tenancy by residents outside the parish is at the
discretion of the parish council.
2.
An agreement for letting must be signed by the tenant and the
allotment warden or parish clerk.
3.
Rent will be fixed by the parish council and six months' notice
of any alteration will be given to all tenants.
4.
Rent will be paid annually in arrears by post or on the date,
time and place notified to all tenants by the clerk. For the purpose
of assessing rents the allotment year will be from November 1st
to October 31st annually.
5.
Plots may be rented wholly or as half-plots.
6.
Senior citizen tenants are entitled to a discount of 25% of the
full annual rent.

A tenant who wishes to terminate his agreement must notify the
parish clerk in writing. A minimum of one month's notice is required.
8.
On termination of an agreement, the tenant is responsible for
leaving his/her plot(s) tidy and ready for new occupancy. Failure
to do so will result in a charge being made for the costs incurred
for tidying by the parish council.
9.
Tenants who wish to exchange their assigned plots must obtain
the prior approval of the allotment warden/parish clerk.
10.
The tenant is not allowed to sub-let his/her assigned plot.
11.
The cultivation of plots with respect to manuring, digging and
keeping the land clean will be in accordance with the practice
of good garden husbandry.
12.
Tenants shall keep all fences and paths in good repair and each
tenant will keep his or her share of the paths and fences adjoining
his or her plot in good order. Any dispute between tenants in
this respect will be referred to the allotment warden/parish clerk
whose decision will be final.
13.
Any other dispute relating to the tenancy shall be referred to
the parish council for determination by the parish council and
their decision will be final
14.
The parish council will terminate an agreement with a tenant whose
rent is in arrears or who plot is not maintained in good order,
or who wilfully disobeys these rules.
15.
Tenants will notify the allotment warden or the parish clerk of
any attempt by any person to destroy or damage crops, fences or
other property, or any evidence of malicious damage.
16.
No building shall be erected on any plot without the prior consent
of the allotment warden or the parish clerk.
17.
No bonfires shall be lit within twenty feet (six and a half metres)
of a roadway or on any site when the wind direction will cause
smoke to obscure the vision of pedestrians or vehicular road-users
to constitute a road traffic hazard.
18.
The discharge of rifles, air rifles, any form of hand-gun, crossbows
or similar, on the allotments area, is strictly forbidden, except
for vermin control, which may only be undertaken by holders of
gun certificates and with the permission of the allotment warden/parish
clerk.
19.
Use of horticultural or agricultural machinery is allowed, provided
prior notice is given to the allotment warden/parish clerk.
20.
No pesticide or herbicide will be used or stored in a manner likely
to endanger humans or wildlife other than pests or vermin.
21.
The external boundaries of Bull Field and Coopers Close Allotments
shall be maintained by the parish council.
