About MyShotley.com

Your community website has been serving Shotley & Erwarton for four and a half years, but your help is needed to take it to the next level.
The site has evolved since the early days of the Parish Plan consultation, into an essential news and information resource for everyone living in this unique community. The thousands of visitors per month use it to get up-to-the-minute village news, a what's on, and comprehensive information about anything you can think of (just visit the A to Z index).

But the site is in real need of modernising, to give it a new look and new functionality to match the expectations of today's web users.

The MyShotley Steering Group is keen to hear any ideas you have for making the site even better. For example, would you like to directly put questions to other local people, or for your club or group to design or publish onto the site? We would also like to hear your ideas for project managing the rebuild, or opportunities to fund it.

To tell us what you would like, or to give other feedback, please email info@MyShotley.com. You could send us examples of good ideas from other websites. Please also email if you would like to join the Steering Group.

It is hoped that the website will be re-launched with a new structure, fresh design and more functionality.

We will report progress through these pages and Noticeboard.

The notes from the first meeting of the Steering Group has more information about the site, and an insight into what the future holds.

MyShotley.com was designed and created by Brigitte Gualde and Jeremy Peters in late 2004, with help from other members of the Parish Plan Steering Committee, and the support of Shotley Parish Council. Jeremy was the editor/webmaster until March 2009, when he handed over to Tess Brown. Tess can be contacted at Tess@MyShotley.com.
